‘Reservoir Dogs’ finally gets a 4K release

The movie that launched Quentin Tarantino’s career is finally going 4K.

reservoir dogsTarantino’s first feature film in 1992, will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on November 15, 2022. Lionsgate is offering this release to Tarantino fans with 4K televisions to coincide with reservoir dogs‘ 30th anniversary.

Thirty years ago, this low-budget, minimally framed thriller directed by a former video store employee premiered at Sundance and incorporated not only Tarantino, but indie films as well, leading to an indie revolution.

We hope reservoir dogs will trigger a second revolution: Tarantino’s films released in 4K. For now, only Once upon a time in Hollywood and Inglourious Basterds are available in this quality. reservoir dogs will debut in 4K on November 15, of course, but Tarantino fans with 4K viewing capabilities will still have to deal with lower-quality versions of pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill: Volume 1, Kill Bill: Volume 2, Proof of death, Django Unchainedand The Hateful Eight.

However, 4K versions of pulp Fiction and Kill Bill: Volume 1 are listed on Blu-ray.com, but none have a release date.
