
Règlement
Art. 1 - The Festival's main aim is the promotion and diffusion of the various Comedy genre by presenting previews (in the competitive and non-competitive sections), meetings, studies, etc.
Art. 2 - The Festival is divided into:
- Official Selection . It is the main section of the festival and will present n. 6 films in competition. It will include 35mm films of very recent production primarily aimed at theatrical distribution, and belonging to the comedy genre.
- Screenings Gala. The section will present n. 3 35mm films out of competition selected from the best comedy productions of the year.
All films selected must not have been previously screened in France and Italy .
Films which have already been presented in other festivals abroad can be selected for the competition as long as they have not won official awards in specific festivals similar in kind to the Monte-Carlo Film Festival.
Art. 3 - Films are invited by the Direction of the Festival.Producers and Distributors wishing to send their films must apply to the Direction for the selection by sending a tape of the film to be submitted or organizing a screening of the film . The Direction will also decide, with the agreement of the producers, in which section of the Festival (see art. 2) films shall be presented.
Art. 4 - The Festival will also propose meetings, forums, exhibitions, special events.
Art. 5 - An international jury will award the official awards to the films which have entered the Official Competitive Section.
The jury will consist of at least three renowned International personalities in the field of cinema and the arts. The winners will be declared unanimously or by absolute majority. If after four ballots an absolute majority has not been reached, a decision will be made on a relative majority.
Art. 6 - All films will be shown in original version with French subtitles.
Art. 7 - Selected films must be provided with the dialogue list and a VHS/DVD together with all the advertising material. The copy of the dialogue list and of the VHS cassette - necessary for the electronic subtitling - will be returned by the Festival only upon request.
Art. 8 - To be able to participate in the Festival it is necessary to send the entry form duly filled in. This document is an official agreement between the parties. The producer or agent will also agree to send all relevant information and materials (synopsis, cast, credits, stills, photos of directors and actors, posters, promotional videos etc.).
